Please come and join me at my first ‘Managing Business Images Workshop’ to be held at The Space, Norwich on the 13th March 2019. Organised in partnership with The Rainmakers Club, it costs just £25, including lunch, this 4-hour session will be delivered in straightforward, non-technical language with plenty of examples and demonstrations.
It is specifically aimed at Entrepreneurs, Small Business Owners and those responsible for marketing within medium-sized and larger organisations.
Whatever your area or size of business, if you do not effectively manage the images you use and where you use them, then you are not leveraging the best value out of your marketing and may even cause a detrimental effect on your brand.
There is a clear movement by society and, by default, business towards a more graphic driven culture aided by new technologies and the expansion in sharing media.
It is estimated that around 300 million photos are shared to Facebook and 95 million photos and videos posted on Instagram per day. In 2014, we uploaded an astonishing 1.8 Billion images every day to social media, websites and other online platforms. That is over 200 images per second for every minute of every day. This figure is increasing all the time.
In addition, printed media is still a critical part of business advertising. Banners, flyers, business cards, brochures, catalogues, billboards, posters, menus, etc. etc. are all still important tools in an advertising strategy.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
- understand the value of an image,
- identify how much you should spend on (an) image(s),
- determine the best source for your images, including guidance on DIY, Stock Image Libraries, and Professional Photographers
- understand copyright and the legality of using images (including GDPR)
- recognise good images and the effect poor imagery can have on your brand
and much more.
So many aspects of business and business development are the subjects of presentations, workshops and classes and it is right for it to be that way. However, the vast majority of Commercial Photography workshops and guides are produced with photographers in mind rather than from a business educational perspective for entrepreneurs and business leaders.
This innovative, informative and entertaining workshop will be aimed fairly and squarely at the business owner that wants to extract the maximum value from the use of images to promote themselves, their products or their services.
It will include practical demonstrations to emphasise key points that will also provide useful tips to help your own personal picture taking.

I look forward to seeing you there.
